It's true; don't doubt it!
Dear AnnaLisa Maddox, Thanks for talking to me the past several night. It's good to know that someone else is on the same page as I am. We're both AWESOME and we CAN do it!  Keep up the being amazing-ness!

Dear Heavenly Father, Thanks for helping me use the atonement to turn my bad day around. Thanks also for directing me to Romans 8 yesterday. You always answer my prayers, even the ones I don't even utter.

Dear LIFE--You're AMAZING! Yes--you are! And so is everyone on this planet--including me! I know that this is true because if it wasn't, Satan wouldn't try so hard to drag us all down. So yea for being amazing and for  having amazingly challenging, wonderful, mortal lives! Let's all start living like the amazing people we are.

Christ Lives

"We bear testimony, as His duly ordained Apostles—that Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God. He is the great King Immanuel, who stands today on the right hand of His Father. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son."   -The Living Christ

I want to add my testimony to that of the apostles. I know that He lives. He died for you. He lives for you. He supports you. He knows you. He loves you. I love Him, respect Him, and am eternally thankful for who He is, all He does, and that I can have Him be a part of my life. He makes me want to be a better person.

Letters

Dear Brad, Thanks so much for the Laugh Out Loud show, the frozen yogurt, and the good conversation. You're a really good friend who has his priorities straight. Keep being awesome.

Dear Anthony, Thanks for the yummy frapachino and cupcake! I always enjoy spending my time with fantastic people.

Dear Emily, Sarah, Lisa, and Kent, Thanks for letting me sit next to you for the 12:07am showing of Hunger Games. The movie was awesome, but your company was even awesomer.

Dear Roommates, Thanks for dealing with me when I get frustrated with myself. Like on Friday. Knowing that you all love me always makes my frustrating days better.

Dear Ward Family, Thanks for all your love and support as I begin the new adventure of being the Relief Society president. How am I feeling at the moment? The better question is what am I not feeling at the moment. But even though I know it's going to be a little crazy and is going to take a lot of work, I know I can do it with your love and support. Thanks for being there.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for trusting me, for comforting me, and for giving me the strength to do what you need me to do. I love Thee so very much. Thank you for loving me too.

Letters

Dear Brad, Thanks for sitting next to me yesterday in marriage prep. It made me feel happy to see a friend in the middle of my crazy day.

Dear Roommates, You guys give awesome hugs. I could not live in a box with a fox or in a house with a mouse, here or there or pretty much anywhere if you guys weren't there living with me. You rock.

Dear General Conference, Thank HEAVENS you're just around the corner. I'm super excited.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thanks for giving me the sunshine to make me smile, the brains to write a paper, the friends and family to support me, and the optimism to keep on going. Somehow, you help me to get everything done and make everything okay.

Letters

This is a picture of where Ryan and I went climbing!
Dear Ryan, The rock climbing date on Friday night was one of the scariest, terrifying, exhausting, and most awesome dates I've ever been on! My forearms are still sore (which I love!) Thanks for pushing me and helping me to get to the top on that very last climb. I swore I wasn't going to be able to make it, but with your help, I did. It was pretty much a metaphor for life. Thanks even more for the awesome conversation. You're a good friend.

Dear Garrett, Thanks for the fantastically fun date Saturday night, going to see Ryan Shup and the Rubberband! I've never heard of them before, but they were so much fun! We even caught one of the Frisbees they threw out at the crow. Yup--we're awesome.

Dear Week, I know I can do hard things, but please try to not be as horrifying as you could be. Thanks.

Dear Daniel, Pister, Miesha, Weston, and everyone else involved, The snowball fight tonight was awesome fun.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thanks for trusting me and for giving me the strength to do what you need me to do. Together, we can get me through this crazy week!

Dear FHE Brothers plus Josh, Thank you for being such fun, giving boys and for be examples of how worthy priesthood holders live their lives. Everyone in my apartment looks up to every single one of you. You are going to be missed.

Letters

Dear Kate, Today I received the most aweomest letter ever! So of course, it had to be from you. Thank you so extremely super much. You made my day.

Dear Kyle, Mentoring you every week for several hours with Brian Baird is always fun. Today, doing an egg drop experience, was especially fun. I do have to say though, the best part was probably when we came to pick you up and your mom was so excited to tell us about your latest school project and of how you'd gone to meet Charles Schulz's daughter and all you wanted to talk about was video games. It was almost as funny as the time you couldn't give the dinosaur museum credit for recreating a bunch of fossils correctly because if they wanted to make it look like it did in real life, it should have obviously been covered with skin. 12 year olds like you rock.

Dear Emily Christensen, Thanks for sharing a table in the library. I love that you're not afraid to pray in the library (like me!) And PS: I like your ugly shorts.

Dear Lauren, Fantastic job today performing your play (Suicide House). I'm glad that you're finished and will now have more time to be happy!

Dear Roommates, Sorry for any of the bad weather I might have brought into the apartment this week. Luckily, the weatherman says that clear skies are on their way! Until then, thanks for putting up with a "rain-cloud Lindsey."

Dear Amelia and Morgan, This is why I love you:

'nuff said.

Letters

Dear Devan, I'm so glad that I got to see you in the Smith Field House today! Even though it was real quick, the few minutes of chat really brightened my day!

Dear Random Guy Wearing a Blue Shirt in the Workout Room, Thanks so very much for complimenting me on my "BEAUTIFUL" shirt! You made me feel super happy and good about myself on the inside.

Dear Amelia, Sorry I couldn't stay to guard you against all the Prince Charmings who were on their way to wake you from your nap with a kiss. The library just couldn't wait.

Dear Emily Christensen, Thanks for always smiling and saying "Hi!" when you see me on the sidewalk by the Kennedy Center in the mornings or when you see me in the Periodicals or just when you plain see me. You do "sunbeam" better than a four-year old.

Dear People Who Think Being an English Teaching Major Doesn't Require Memorizing Because All We Do is Read and Write All Day, I have 65 dates, 39 pieces of work, and 9 key terms to memorize before my final for British Literature on Tuesday. English Teaching majors are required to regurgitate information every once and a while.

Goals, Motivations, and Aspirations

"While understanding the “what” and the “how” of the gospel is necessary, the eternal fire and majesty of the gospel springs from the “why.” When we understand why our Heavenly Father has given us this pattern for living, when we remember why we committed to making it a foundational part of our lives, the gospel ceases to become a burden and, instead, becomes a joy and a delight. It becomes precious and sweet."   -President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "Forget Me Not", 2011 Relief Society Broadcast

Letters

This is the place Michael and I went Hiking--Battle Creek Trail. It was a lot more brown and frozen than it is in this picture, though, because it's still Winter.
Dear Pister, Talking to you on Thursday night was one of the highlights of my semester. Thanks for helping me tune my spiritual radio--the reception has been static-y of late. Reason number two why I have the best home teachers ever.

Dear Amelia, Once upon a time there was a super awesome girl. One week she worked really super awesome hard to get done all her work and to be successful. At the end of that week she went away to spend time with her family (because she's just that awesome). Her roommate missed her that week because they had both been too busy to spend much time together, so she decided to ask her on a date to WinCo the following weekend. The awesome girl accepted. That made her roommate very happy. The end.

Dear Mr. Farnbach, Fantastic conversation last night. I think I learned just as much about myself as I did about you. Thanks for giving me things to think about and for inspiring me to try a little harder to be a little better. I think you're pretty awesome.

Dear Michael, I laugh to myself just thinking about our date going hiking this morning. You managed to get me to laugh for two and a half hours straight. As I said, you "superseded my expectations" (I won't say in what ways you superseded them, but know that it wasn't all bad). Good job. I'm interested to hear how your date with my roommate Rachel tonight compares. As a piece of advice: maybe before then you could practice coloring inside the lines when you drive?

Dear Heavenly Father, I continue being flabbergasted at the many countless ways that you show me you love me. I just can't believe all the work you've been going through over the past several months to help me now with things I didn't even know I'd need help with. You are amazing and I love you.

Letters

Dear Holly Engh, This is what your facebook status said today: "In the event of an apocalypse (zombie or otherwise) you will find me at a mormon's house. Those people know how to prepare." Thanks for making my day.

Dear Marriage Prep Class, You're my favorite class. Thanks.

Dear Random Running Guy Wearing Vibram Running Shoes, Thanks for complementing me on my awesome Vibram Running shoes. You were so super excited about it and it made me laugh. I like yours too.

Dear Michael, Thanks for going out of your way to come talk to us outsiders in 667. The psychology behind attraction is an interesting topic. You were bad at remembering the details behind it all, but it was still really interesting.

Dear Papers, I'm trying to like you right now. Let's not make our relationships harder than they need to be, okay?

Letters

This was posted on Facebook last night. The caption read: "Lindsey, we eventually found a suit that fit Greiger well. People were really impressed but he just could not get used to it. He is off free roaming somewhere and will probably find his way back to you soon."
Dear Michael and Mr. Farnbach, Thanks for taking such good care of Gregory for me! The suit was nice, but I think I'll side with Gregory on this one and say he looks better off without it. It was a nice thought though.

Dear John Campbell, The potato wedges were FANTASTIC! I'm so sorry our fun got cut short. We are definitely going to have to play banana grams again sometime soon!

Mr. Farnbach, Pretending to be kids off of the TV show ZOOM and doing science experiments was one of the funnest trips down memory lane I've had in a long time. You're a pretty awesome "loner kid" scientist!

Dear Rachel, When I was trying to take a nap today you hung this sign on my door:

Conclusion: you're pretty awesome.

Dear Jeremy Hill, Thanks so super much for inviting me to the men's volleyball game! I seriously had a BLAST!

Letters

The printer in the library was obviously having a bad day

Dear Library Printer, By the way you printed out my document last night, it's obvious that you've had a rough couple of days. I hope that today is a better one for you.

Dear Grounds Crew/Anyone Who Has Picked up a Shovel Over the Past Few Days, Thank you SO much for getting up early to salt the snowy grounds so that the odds of me slipping and falling on my face are significantly reduced. You guys rock!

Dear John Campbell, Thank you so much for coming over on Thursday night and telling stories about your crazy mission in Africa. No one EVER comes to visit our apartment because it's odd location, so it meant a whole lot. My roommates and I laughed so hard that we cried, snorted, and couldn't breathe. You're awesome.

Dear Michael and Mr. Farnbach, You had better be taking extremely good care of my giraffe, Gregory. It was cold sleeping without him last night and I missed him. I'm pretty sure he missed me too. I'm trusting you . . .

Dear Weekend, We are going to have so much fun! I have three papers to write and lots of fun to be had. I hope that I will be able to make the hard choices which will make me happy and help me use my time the way the Lord would have me use it. Let's get ready to have some hardworking fun!
